Honestly, it\u2019s one of my favorite day trips from Sheffield! <\/p>

Not only does it look stunning, but there\u2019s also so much to do! You could even spend a full weekend there \ud83c\udfde\ufe0f <\/p>

The ruins of Beeston Castle, sitting above the village, tell stories of Norman nobles and medieval battles \u2694\ufe0f
Below, the village has cozy pubs, a free museum, and local shops, many selling the unique and beautiful Blue John stone the area is famous for \ud83d\udc8e <\/p>

The nearby caves, like Peak Cavern and Blue John Cavern, open the doors to an underground world full of natural wonders \ud83c\udf0c <\/p>

The area is perfect for long walks or even short, relaxing strolls \ud83d\udeb6\u200d\u2640\ufe0f
Mam Tor is a short trail that gives you amazing views on a clear day, and walking through the limestone Cave Dale will leave you in awe of nature\u2019s beauty \ud83c\udf04 <\/p>

This magnificent estate, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, is full of old and new art, antiques, stunning architecture, and expansive garden designs \ud83c\udf3f<\/p>

Some of the key rooms include: the Painted Hall, the grand entrance adorned with murals and ceiling paintings, the State Rooms designed to impress guests, and the Sculpture Gallery filled with an extensive collection of classical and modern statues \ud83c\udfa8<\/p>

And as famous as the house is, the gardens are legendary too, spanning around 105 acres \ud83c\udf33
They\u2019ve evolved over 450 years, showcasing a variety of landscapes, from formal gardens to wild nature full of wildlife \ud83e\udd8c<\/p>

There\u2019s also the amazing Orangery shop, plus large indoor stores for design and farm products in the courtyard.
You could easily spend a whole day here if you want, but shopping isn\u2019t cheap \ud83d\ude05<\/p>

Heads up, the place can get busy, especially around Christmas with special events \ud83c\udf84
