The trail is <b>generally well maintained<\/b>. However, <b>it can get pretty muddy after rain<\/b>, so <b>good waterproof and grippy footwear is definitely needed<\/b>.<\/p><p>From the <b>south peak<\/b>, there is a <b>short ridgeline<\/b> to the <b>north peak<\/b>, which is the <b>true summit of the mountain<\/b>. This ridge is <b>fairly wide, and not at all technical<\/b>. However, it has a <b>steep hill on one side, and a cliff on the other<\/b>. <b>Please take great care on this section<\/b>, especially when visibility is low. I was treated to <b>views along Loch Lomond and across the surrounding mountains<\/b>. I could even make out the distinctive square summit of <b>The Cobbler<\/b> to the northwest. On a very clear day, it is <b>even possible to see Ben Nevis<\/b>.\n\nThough the trail is <b>fairly obvious<\/b>, it is <b>recommended to download the offline map<\/b> to stay on course. <b>From the
