Watkin Path Waterfall vs Snowdon Infinity Pool

The spot earned the name infinity pool because it blends smoothly with the surrounding hills streams and rocky landscape with no clear edges, creating a view that feels endless.

During our latest camping trip to Snowdonia we had one mission in mind to find this hidden location.

After a bit of online detective work the day before we set up our tent and wasted no time heading out to track down the secret spot.

And honestly the search was absolutely worth it. We arrived late in the afternoon and luckily the place was mostly quiet giving us a rare peaceful moment there.

It might sound cliché but photos truly cannot capture it. The views in person are far more powerful and the cold water felt incredibly refreshing after spending the whole day under the blazing sun. 🌄

Once we had a rough idea of the area, we opened Google Earth and slowly worked our way toward the exact spot. Carefully tracing the streams with the mouse can feel a little tedious, but that method is exactly how we finally found what we were searching for.

The pool has a clear man made shape, so the moment you spot it you will know you have found the right place.

Meticulously tracking streams with your mouse can get quite tedious.

To stay safe when visiting the infinity pool it is important to plan ahead and bring reliable navigation so you can stay on the right path.

When checking photos and videos of the area you will notice the A4086 road running below the hills. This road is the safest way to begin your approach toward the pool.

The rugged landscape of Snowdonia can be very dangerous so it is essential to stick to the established trails and avoid trying to reach the pool from other directions.

With that in mind we decided to visit in the late afternoon on a weekday arriving around 4:30pm to 5:00pm and the pool was mostly quiet which made the moment even better.

There is very limited parking on the road just below the pool with only a few small laybys available. If they are full your best option is to park in Nant Peris where the nearest car parks are about a half hour walk away.

We visited the pool during our camping trip in Llanberis and decided to walk along the road from the town which took around 1 hour 30 minutes.

The longer walk actually made the moment of jumping into the pool feel even more rewarding and along the way we enjoyed even more stunning views of Snowdonia National Park. 🏔️
