My Personal Experience:
After a nasty crash kept me off the bike for a while last year 😅
Now I wear body armor (at least back protection) on every ride 🏍️
Sometimes I feel it’s a bit of luck and superstition 😂
Even on a chill ride with my dad wearing full armor, it might be over the top 😎
But honestly, when you live comfortably in armor, comfort becomes the top priority 💥

Thankfully, G-Form’s MX MTB Spike is super comfortable and easily ticks the comfort box. 😎
The shirt-with-pads design always keeps a layer of fabric between your skin and anything that could cause itching ✨
But since it’s an integrated shirt with pads, it can get hot and sweaty on summer rides 🔥
The good news is the pads are easily removable and simple to wash 💧

Between the pads and the rider, there’s a layer of moisture-wicking fabric that cushions the chest and back for extra comfort 🛡️
These fabric layers can also be removed and washed whenever you want 🌬️

A common issue with other body armor designed the same way is that it’s hard to adjust or has no adjustment at all 😅
Loose armor feels insecure and increases chafing 😖
It also makes temperature control worse since the pads lift off your body, giving that cold, sweaty back feeling ❄️
But G-Form solved this perfectly with elastic straps on the sides that wrap around your chest and torso 💪
You can easily tighten or loosen them with buckles, staying secure all day 🏍️

For impact protection, the MX MTB Spike uses G-Form’s RE ZRO pads. 🛡️
These purple pads are lightweight, flexible, and sustainable, biodegradable and recyclable ♻️
Not the lightest armor out there, but the weight is reasonable for the protection 💪

The pads are certified for back protection Level 2 and chest Level 1 according to EN 1621 standards.
Coverage is excellent—the back isn’t too narrow and the chest isn’t too long, giving a perfect balance between protection and freedom of movement 🔥

The pads are flexible and super comfortable, with excellent adjustable fit and extra padding on the shoulders.
The result: an incredible feeling of security and comfort 😎

If I’m being honest, the back protection could extend a bit lower, as some of the lower back remains exposed 💭

The price is around £220, but it reflects the quality of the armor.
There are thoughtful extras like elastic ties on the shoulders to secure a neck brace 🏍️

Honestly, it’s hard to find any flaws with the MX MTB Spike.
The lack of pockets is a bit annoying, especially if you need to store small items while riding 🤷‍♂️
But on most rides, I’ve gotten used to going without them 🚀

Conclusion:
The G-Form MX MTB Spike is an excellent product 💥
A bit pricey, but the comfort and secure fit are unmatched by any other armor
It retains some heat in summer, and is a bit heavy (over 1 kg for all sizes)
But for high-risk, extreme riding,
